Over the last year or so we’ve been dedicating significant effort in Wales on a very exciting collaboration with Meet in Cardiff.
Not only have we worked with them to create stunning drone footage of the Civic Centre but we are delighted to be their preferred supplier for virtual tours. We have been working with them to approach the many amazing local venues and spaces to achieve a portfolio of virtual tours showcasing what Cardiff has to offer.
We love our new Virtual Tour, the images and technology has advanced a lot since our last one and it is so integral to our Sales and Marketing activity – we have international events and the weight of signing contracts before site visit is solely on these Virtual Tours being as accurate and up to date as possible. Of course, Jackie is a joy to work with and knows exactly what we need to get everything captured just right!
All the virtual tours are collated on their website meetincardiff.com, creating a beautiful directory of spaces for anyone interested in hosting an event in Cardiff. We love the variety of spaces Cardiff has to offer; there is truly something for any event or occasion. From elegant historical buildings such as the Coal Exchange Hotel or Cardiff Castle to stunning, modern spaces like Principality Stadium or St David’s Hotel; the Meet in Cardiff team and their amazing selection of venues can truly accommodate any event.
The team at Meet in Cardiff utilise the benefits of virtual tours via their website providing their client base with a portfolio of virtual tours so that they can explore their selection independently, and they also offer virtual site visits to plan and discuss the upcoming event. This creates a seamless, hassle-free experience for their client as they can work out all of the logistics and create their perfect event from their home without multiple visits and trips in the car.
“Everyone has become used to teams and zoom but what has also been increasingly useful for the business event and conference planner has been the 3D virtual tour of a venue.
There are 360 virtual tours available but the conference planner uses a 3D virtual tour solution using software such as Matterport.
The planner can see in far more detail online what the venue looks like and how it measures up to the brief. Today the event planner can go online usually from home and find out more about venues without making a site visit until it is absolutely necessary. It saves time and money both for the planner and the venue.
The Meet Cardiff team have researched suppliers who understand the market and can showcase a virtual tour that organises can easily use”
We look forward to working with the team in the future capturing more of the stunning venues in Cardiff, and we’re excited to see where their innovative thinking and approach takes them.
